Benchmarking for a growing industry
The aerial arts and fitness industry is flying blind. We're changing that.
Aerial silks, lyra, straps, and aerial pole are among the fastest-growing disciplines in boutique fitness. Studios are opening across the country, students are filling classes, and a passionate community is building something real. But when studio owners need to make decisions about pricing, membership structure, marketing spend, or whether their retention numbers are healthy, there's nothing to compare against. No benchmarks. No published data. No industry standard of any kind.
The Aerial Arts Index is closing that gap.
What we do
The Aerial Arts Index is an independent research initiative producing the first publicly available benchmarks for the aerial arts studio business. We measure what matters: membership retention, customer lifetime value, acquisition costs, pricing, and the metrics that determine whether a studio thrives or struggles.
Our first study, a nationwide survey of US aerial arts studios, is underway now. The findings will be published freely and shared with participating studios.
This is your data too
If you own or manage an aerial studio, this research only works if you're in it. The survey takes eight minutes. Your responses are completely anonymous. And when the findings are published, you'll receive them first.
Community news and resources
For suppliers and investors
The aerial arts sector is underdocumented, underestimated, and growing fast. If you work with aerial studios or are paying attention to where boutique fitness is heading, we'd like to talk.
